REVIEW: The Companion Chronicles: The Mahogany Murderers
Doctor Who: The Mahogany Murderers (The Companion Chronicles, #3.11)Doctor Who: The Mahogany Murderers by Andrew Lane

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I picked this up at the Big Finish sale last weekend, and I'm really glad I did. I knew next to nothing about the characters of Jago and Litefoot before listening to this audio(I did attempt to watch Talons of Weng Chiang prior to listening to this, but I just couldn't make it through the episode).

I was completely charmed by these two characters and their friendship. The Mahogany Murderers had just the right amount of suspense, atmosphere, and humor. I loved the banter. Trevor Baxter and Christopher Benjamin slip into their roles as if the two actors have been working together for ages.

It's been a while since I've read or listened to a story that was just plain fun, and I'm very glad I decided to give Jago and Litefoot a chance. I picked up the first season of the ongoing audio series based on the strength of this story, and I'm looking forward to listening to these characters in a full cast audio drama.
